Listen and Learn. Black Lives Matter.
We are living through a critical moment in history.
To the Black members of Skirt Club: we hear you, we see you, and we are with you.
To the non-Black members of Skirt Club: it is up to each of us to stand with and support the Black community.
June is also Pride month. Black women are vital to the Pride movement, and the LGBTQ+ community owes so much to the women of colour who led riots at Stonewall.
We believe in the power of community. And as a community, we must stand up for each other, support one another, and use our collective power to enact change.
We have a lot to learn, to unlearn, and to do.
We are listening, and we want to be the best allies we can. We have to use this moment to eradicate racism and create a more just society for all.
You can help.
Let's turn vulnerability into strength. #together
