Midsumma Pride March is one of our signature events, where over 8,000 marchers usually take to the streets down Fitzroy Street in St Kilda each year. 45,000 people line the streets and balconies along the march route to show their support.

Dykes on Bikes precede the marching contingent as per tradition, with the march itself led by Boon Wurrung Elders and a Rainbow Aboriginal Float along with the Premier of Victoria, Minister for Equality and the Creative Industries and Commissioner for Gender and Sexuality.
Hundreds of young people, often amongst the most vulnerable within our communities, are placed towards the front of the march as a positive and strong affirmation for LGBTIQA+ youth.
This year, Skirt Club Melbourne invites you to B Proud and join us marching in the Midsumma Pride March in St Kilda. The march itself goes from 11am - 1:30pm, with requirements for march participants to arrive in the marshalling area no later than 9:30am in order to be registered by the Midsumma marshalls. Immediately after Pride March, join us for a Sunday session - a stone's throw from where the march ends near the corner of Acland and Fitzroy Streets. We'll be taking over the utterly delightful Lady Peacock Bar - booked out privately, just for Skirt Club members until 4:30pm.
IMPORTANT: As noted below in the location details, please make sure you plan your arrival in advance due to road closures for the Pride march. There will also be public transport service changes in the area from 10:30am.

Get ready for the most colourful parade in the world. Let's celebrate together Skirt Club and the LGBTQ community. Spreading the love far and wide. The first march was held in NYC 1970 and has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. The March is a celebration of our lives and our community.
Our significant accomplishment through Skirt Club is that we can shed light on what is often a silent “B” in LGBTQ – bisexuality. As female empowerment evolves we dedicated our purpose to building a community of like-minded women explorers that crave a safe space to indulge in new stimuli and experiences for the heart, soul and mind.
