This Month’s Read - "Pussy: A Reclamation" by Regena Thomashauer 

 
Inside the Skirt App, the Book & Film Club has become a space for members to swap recommendations, choose what to read next and get into some wonderfully interesting conversations along the way.

Now we're giving those conversations a little more room.

On the third Sunday of each month, we'll come together online to talk about the book the community has been reading, share different perspectives and enjoy an hour in the company of Skirt women from around the world.

Our first monthly gathering will be led by Indigo (IndigoChanel), alongside Madeline (Madeline13), who have both already been helping lead the Book & Film Club conversation in the app.

For September, we're discussing the book already selected by the group: Pussy: A Reclamation.
 
Read it cover to cover, arrive with pages full of notes or simply come ready to listen and join the conversation... 

Indigo will lead our discussion, bringing questions and talking points from the month's book while making plenty of room for everyone who wants to contribute. 

A few prompts will be shared in the Book & Film Club Group Chat beforehand, giving you something to ponder while you read. Then we'll come together on Zoom for around an hour to share reactions, ideas and the things that stayed with us. 

The conversation doesn't end when we log off. Head back into the app afterwards to continue discussing the book and start looking ahead to what we'll be reading together next. 

Open to all Seductress & Enchantress members globally.

The Book Club is intended to meet online on the third Sunday of every month, although individual dates may occasionally change. 

Can't make September, or haven't had time to read the book? Join the Book & Film Club in the app anyway. We'll be announcing future reads there so you can get ahead for the next monthly gathering.

Join the Book & Film Club 

The monthly Zoom is only one part of our Book Club. 

Its real home is the Book & Film Club Group Chat inside the Skirt App, created and shaped by the members themselves. 

Join the group to discuss the current read as you go, share recommendations, suggest and vote on future books, see discussion prompts ahead of our monthly call and keep the conversation going afterwards. 

If you're a Skirt member who hasn't made your way into the app yet, this is a lovely reason to come and see what the community has been creating there. 

What to Expect 

Bring the book, a drink and whatever thoughts you've gathered along the way. 

This isn't a lecture or a formal literary discussion. Indigo will guide the conversation, but the hour belongs to the group. Different interpretations, thoughtful disagreement, questions and personal reflections are all welcome. 

You don't need to have something clever prepared and you don't need to speak if you'd rather listen. The idea is simply to give the conversations already happening between our members a regular moment each month when we can all sit down together.

If you're no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through your profile so we have an accurate guest list for the session.
