The
first March was held in 1970 and has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. The March is a celebration of our lives and our community. In 2018, NYC was joined by over 550 unique marching contingents, representing a vast array of non-profits, community organizations, corporate sponsors, small businesses, political candidates and activists! With over 100 floats making the trek along the route, last year's March was one of the largest and most exciting in history.
Our significant accomplishment through Skirt Club is that we can shed light on what is often a silent “B” in LGBTQ – bisexuality. As female empowerment evolves we dedicated our purpose to building a community of like-minded women explorers that crave a safe space to indulge in new stimuli and experiences for the heart, soul and mind. Skirt Club will be part of this year’s procession as a group and hoist the official 1,300ft Rainbow River flag with PRIDE.
