International Women’s Day is one of our favourite days at Skirt Club. In 2020, our community celebrated this day across the world with beautiful brunches and we applauded the efforts of women we knew and loved. We spent the day lifting each other up, sharing our stories, and learning from our individual experiences.
This year, things look very different. Our events have moved to the virtual realm, which has allowed us to truly unite across the world. We have been brought together, even whilst oceans apart, and have become stronger because of it.
So now, we invite you to tell us: who have you turned to for support and strength during your journey? Who was the woman who encouraged you to live your life just how you wanted to, without shame or fear? How did she make you feel about yourself, and what would you like to thank her for?
Perhaps it is someone you have never even met face to face. Maybe a fellow bisexual woman who has reassured you that you are not alone. Someone who has become a friend. Maybe even someone who has become more.
